G.F. Johnston and Associates was formed to provide resource conscious, personalized consulting services to Mount Desert Island and surrounding communities. We collaborate with architects, landscape designers, State and  government agencies, to build your vision into a solid result. We are very familary with working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. We believe in collaboration that results in more than the sum of the parts.

Use the right professional for the design and management of your project. The practice of engineering is defined  as “any professional service, such as consultation, investigation, evaluation, planning, design or responsible supervision of construction in connection with any public or private utilities, structures, buildings, machines, equipment, processes, works or projects, wherein the public welfare or the safeguarding of life, health or property is concerned or involved, when such professional service requires the application of engineering principles and data.” 32 M.R.S.A. §1251 (3).
